STARFALL

She came up to me and flashed a smile at me.

“Have you ever seen a meteor shower?”

She held my hand and led me through the people. The party that night was at its peak. We went upstairs quickly, next, we walked through a trapdoor in her room, and finally we reached the roof.

We lie under the stars while her hand was still clutching mine.

“Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as the meteor shower?” she said

But I wasn’t watching the meteor shower. I was watching how her hazel green eyes reflected the starlight, those eyes that made me shudder every time I looked at them. She had been my best friend for a long time, and I was madly in love with her.

After a while, she sighed and she turned to me. She showed me a shy smile and secondly she leaned on my chest and wrapped my body with her arm. We had hugged a thousand times before, but that time was different. She stared at me for a long time, and finally she said:

“I don’t want this moment to ever end”

I’ve been dreaming for that moment for so long, but I had imagined it quite different. I’ve always been a shy boy, and I imagined myself suffocating under the pressure. But that time I was not afraid. I stroke her cheek and I whispered:

“I love you, since the moment I met you, since the time when I was a shy boy.”
